When I had my first son, I invested in professional photography sessions to document his first year of life, traveling over two hours each way to work with a photographer whose style I loved. Each image captured filled my heart with warmth and amazement as I watched him grow from a tiny newborn to a one-year-old full of personality. Those precious photographs became treasured memories, and when my second son arrived, I knew I had to make the same journey. Despite financial challenges at the time, I was determined to travel those same two hours to capture his first year with the same photographer who had documented his brother's journey. It was during one of those sessions with my second son that I had my epiphany: I could bring this same joy to families closer to home. That realization sparked a passion that led me to immerse myself in learning everything about photography, business operations, and the intricate world of photo editing – a journey of growth that continues nine years later.

Now, as a professional newborn photographer based in Crescent City, California, I serve growing families through Sweet Pea Family Photography throughout Del Norte County and the Southern Oregon coast, including the Brookings-Harbor area. My work is proudly displayed in our local hospital's birthing center and OBGYN office, where new parents can envision the possibilities for their own precious newborn's portraits.

My cozy home studio, nestled between the stunning Northern California coastline and majestic Redwood forests, is thoughtfully designed specifically for newborn and baby photography.
