Paxton - Newborn

It was so nice working with Paxton and his family. His parents totally doted on him the entire time. It was so heart warming. Paxton was pretty young at 4 days old, but he was wide awake for the first portion of the session and made amazing eye contact with the camera. That almost never happens with such a young baby, and was a pleasant surprise. He was calm and happy the whole session and because of that we were able to get though so many setups, which really adds variety to the gallery. Dad even had a request of a shot with Paxton on a skate board. I made that happen for them, and done safely! Dad spotted Paxton while he was on the skateboard. Congratulations on your new little one guys!

Madelyn - Cake Smash

Madelyn's mom drove all the way from Chiloquin, Oregon just to book a session with me. I was honored that she wanted to book with me and excited! At first we had planned on a mini session to document Madelyn's first birthday, but last minute it turned in to a cake smash session. I was so excited, since cake smashes are one of my favorite types of sessions. Her mom sent me a photo of this adorable little romper she had just gotten for the session, and I knew exactly what I wanted to do for the setup. Since I love cake smashes so much, I have a ton of props and am always adding to them to help me in designing and putting together the sets. I had everything I wanted to use on hand and was able to put it together rather quickly. When they showed up to the session, Madelyn was all smiles and I had a feeling this session was going to go smoothly. As soon as she saw the cake, she dug in and started to play. But once she realized how good the cake tasted, she alternated between eating and playing. She had so much fun! She had cake everywhere by the middle of the session, and by the end the cake was totally destroyed. She rocked this session! Happy Birthday Madelyn.

Olivia - 3 Months

Little miss Olivia is on The Baby Plan and recently had her 3 month session. He was such a happy baby for this session and she made so many cute expressions! I just love how her gallery came out and I can hardly wait until her 6 month session when she's sitting. I love watching babies grow in both size and personality. I just know she's going to be a silly baby with big ole smiles!

Leo - Newborn

I photographed Leo's older brother, JP, when he was a newborn and I was excited when I got the call they were pregnant again! We started off with family photos, since it can be really hard for a young kid to sit in a hot studio for hours. JP was amazing! He loves his brother and it shows. He loves cuddling and holding him. He showered Leo with love. I was really happy to be able to capture those moments. Sometimes with with younger siblings, it's really hard to photograph them. The will shy away from the camera or not want to be around their new little sister or brother, and it's really 50/50 to get any shots. JP rocked the session with his brother though! Leo was great too. He is such a chill baby and we were able to get so many poses done with him. It can be really challenging photographing newborns, but Leo was a champ. I'm so excited they chose The Baby Plan and I will get to photograph Leo at all his milestones in the next year. I just love watching them grow during their first year of life.

Janell - Father's Day

I've know Janell for a long time and have photographed her family on many occasions. I was really excited when she reached out to schedule a session for her father for Father's Day. I thought it would be an amazing gift, so you can image my excitement! She really wanted the Smith River as a backdrop, and I knew of the perfect spot. We drove out on a river rock road to the location. It was gorgeous! It's been so windy in town, but this spot was warm and was not windy. It was just perfect. The session went mostly smooth. We did have to drag Madelyn away from the water where she was playing, but once we convinced her to come take photos it went quickly. The girls had fun and you could tell how much they loved their grandfather. It was a wonderful session and I'm sure he'll treasure those images.

Paxton - 9 Months
July 8th, 2021
Paxton is a Baby Plan baby and this was his 9 month session. It was a bit of a rocky start and we had some tears, but my boys who like to help were able to capture his attention and cheer him up a bit. We also gave him some toys to play with, which really helped. Normally he doesn't like to smile once the camera comes out, but by the end of the session he was smiling and having a good time! He was crawling all over the pace and enjoying himself. I'm so happy I was able to get those smiles mom wanted to so badly, and I understand why. His smiles are down right adorable! I'm hoping we'll able to get more of them during his cake smash session, which is right around the corner.

Zahara - Newborn

Zhari's parents move to Crescent City, Ca and fell in love with the area. The Redwoods, the Smith River, the beach and the people. They plan on raising her here for now and decided to reach out to me to photograph their beautiful little girl. She was so easy to work with. She was relaxed and chill the whole session. She went into most poses easily and I got so many great shots. The parents picked beautiful colors and I out together setups around those colors. I always try to incorporate all the colors chosen one way or another. Both her parents are so nice and it was easy to tell they are just head over heals in love with her and it comes through in the photos taken. I'm so happy and excited for this family!!
Iris - 3 Months

One great thing about having friends with babies, is I get to photograph those babies. Baby Iris is on The baby Plan, which documents her as a newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and 1 year old and the milestones that she'll meet along the way. This one was her 3 month session. This session focuses on baby's smiles and adorable facial expressions, which she obviously nailed with perfection. Iris is a happy baby and was smiling the whole session. We even got some giggles out of her, which are heart melting. Baby laughs are one of my favorites things and always makes me smile. She loves attention and being talked to, which made the session so much fun. I'm really looking forward to her 6 month session.

WILDER - NEWBORN

Sequoia has a new baby brother, Wilder! I was so excited to learn about it and that I would be doing his newborn session. It's been a year and a half since I last saw her as a newborn herself. I was equally excited to see her and to see how much she's grown as I was to meet her new little brother. Wilder was amazing through out the session. There were some small periods of him awake, but he mostly slept and through out the entire session. Sometimes I don't get so lucky with easy babies, but I did with him. His sister did amazing too! She was so excited to hold and love on her brother and didn't mind me taking photos of her. Sometimes that can be a challenge and gets a bit overwhelming for younger siblings, but she didn't mind a bit. I was able to capture quite a few beautiful images of them together. I am so excited and happy for this sweet family!
